It is to be noted that Maji Mumbai won the ISPL 2025 season and Abhishek played a key role in the title win. Abhishek played 19 games in the league and scored 324 runs with two fifties and has a strike rate of 214. The 26-year-old picked 33 wickets and is known for his exceptional swing bowling.
The 26-year-old took to his Instagram handle and posted a video where he expressed his joy of being picked by KKR. The pacer was heard saying, “After two seasons in the ISPL, I have got a great chance with one of the most successful teams in the IPL, KKR, who have called me to be the net bowler. It is a huge deal for me, from tennis ball cricket to fulfil my dreams”.
Former India batter hits out at KKR after loss to Lucknow
Aakash Chopra has slammed the tactics employed by KKR after their four-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday. The 47-year-old was left confused with the confusing choices made by KKR as far as their batting order was concerned. Chopra made these comments during his chat on his YouTube channel.
Chopra said, “Ramandeep came up the order. Raghuvanshi came up the order and Rinku was sent down the order. I am still unable to understand this team's batting order. Even if you are seeing five or seven balls, you are doing wrong there as well.”
The 47-year-old also added, “I request (KKR) with folded hands that you should send Rinku Singh slightly up the order. Mandatorily needing a left-right combination does not work out all the time. If Harshit Rana had given him the strike in the end, you wouldn't have lost by four runs. The run chase would have happened.”
