IPL 2025: Irfan Pathan heaps praise on R. Sai Kishore for bowling carrom ball to dismiss Krunal Pandya in RCB vs GT game

Former India all-rounder and now commentator Irfan Pathan came up with big praise for the young GT spinner R Sai Kishore after he dismissed RCB’s Krunal Pandya on a carrom ball .

Former India all-rounder and now commentator Irfan Pathan came up with big praise for the young GT spinner R Sai Kishore after he dismissed RCB’s Krunal Pandya on a carrom ball in the ongoing RCB vs GT in IPL 2025. The moment came on the second ball of the 15th over in the first innings when RCB were batting first.

Sai Kishore bowled a brilliant back-of-a-length delivery outside the off-stump which compelled Krunal Pandya to try a shot and it got a leading edge of the bat before going again in the hands of Sai Kishore.

"Left-arm spinner bowling carrom ball is rare. Brilliant stuff from Sai Kishore to get Krunal Pandya’s wicket," wrote Irfan Pathan in his X post.

Speaking of the current action of the match, the Gujarat Titans have started their run-chase for the target of 170 runs. At the time of filling this, the Titans have scored 26 runs for no loss in 4 overs. The opening pair of Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill is there in the middle at individual scores of 15 and 8 runs, respectively.

Earlier in the first innings, the visiting skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and asked RCB to bat first; batting first, the hosts posted 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Star middle-order batter Liam Livingstone scored a crucial half-century, getting 54 runs off 40 balls, with one four and five sixes. 

Besides him, wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma also scored 33 runs off 21 balls,, with five fours and a six, followed by Tim David’s blistering 32 runs off just 18 balls, with three fours and two sixes.

Mohammed Siraj bowled a brilliant spell, scalping 3 wickets at just 19 runs in his 4 overs, alongside 2 wickets scalped by Sai Kishore. Besides these two, Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Ishant Sharma also claimed a wicket each in the first innings.
