IPL 2025: Complete List of Players Retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad and RTMs Available Ahead of Mega Auction

Sunrisers Hyderabad have announced their retention list. As claimed by the reports, they have retained Heinrich Klaasen to a sum of whopping INR 23 crores. Their skipper Pat Cummins has been retained at INR 18 crores. Likewise, the deadly opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head has been retained for INR 14 crores repsectively. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been retained at INR 6 crores.

SRH is one of the best teams in the history of the IPL. In the second half of the 2010s, they showed an incredible consistency and made it to the playoffs of each and every season from 2015 to 2020. 2021 to 2023 was a bad period for them as they finished in the bottom half of the table every season.

2024 witnessed a massive turnaround by the Orange Army, as they were able to put forth a great performance to enter their first final since 2018. Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, they were able to play an aggressive brand of cricket which might have changed IPL forever. Given their success, SRH have retianed some of their top players from 2024.

SRH's retention list for IPL 2025

SRH paid a huge sum of INR 23 crores to retain Heinrich Klaasen, the most for a player ahead of the auction. The star player has been the best middle-order batter in T20 cricket in the last 2-3 years. Their skipper, Pat Cummins, has received a lesser pay than he got the previous season.

The SRH skipper has been retained for INR 18 crores. The opening duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who are similar, have been retained for INR 14 crores respectively. Nitish Kumar Reddy was retained by the 2024 finalists for a price of INR 6 crores.

Having retained 5 players, SRH will be left with an RTM card and a purse of INR 45 crores left.
