Rajasthan Royals has had a mixed bag in the IPL so far. They won the inaugural season in 2008 and qualified for the playoffs in a couple of seasons before getting banned in the period 2016-17. Since returning in 2018, RR have been better than they were in the period 2009-2015. Especially after pandemic, they have been one of the best teams.
In 2022, they made it to the final for the first time since 2008. Their 2024 season was a mixed bag, as they won 7 of their first 8 matches and could not finish the group in the top 2. They had to play the Eliminator and beat RCB to qualify for the Qualifier 2. Their campaign ended after losing to SRH in the Qualifier 2.
Given how some of their players performed in the IPL 2024, RR have retained some of their best performers.
