The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are a great franchise with some brilliant players throughout the journey. They have set unreal records in the past with players like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, and many more. Kohli's four hundreds in one season is still the highest by any player in the tournament. Even Gayle's 175 runs in the tournament are the highest individual run-scorer until now.
Ahead of the mega auction, RCB have retained three players: Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal. They have to get a complete set of players for the upcoming three years in the mega auction. As some of the best players will be under the hammer, they will look to get them since they have INR 83 crores left in their purse.

Let's check out the top five targetted players for RCB:
1. KL Rahul
RCB will keep an eye on KL Rahul, the former RCB member who was the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in the previous season. He played some terrific knocks for the franchise, but due to some internal conflict, decided to part ways. However, it might be good news for RCB since Rahul is a great player and a good captaincy candidate as well. In 2024, in 14 matches, he scored 520 runs at an average of 37.14.
2. Mitchell Starc
Australia's pace bowler Mitchell Starc might be a good addition to the team as well. Being a former RCB player, he knows the stadium and has good variations and pace. In 2024, he claimed 17 wickets in 14 matches and helped KKR reach the finals. He was one of the highest-paid players in the previous season. Starc can swing his bat as well and RCB need a good bowler in their side. They have always had issues with the bowling attack, and it's high time they will try to resolve this issue.
3. Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals' former player Rishabh Pant might be another choice for RCB as he can also captain the side. Moreover, they need a reliable middle-order batter, and Pant is absolutely great with his approach. In 14 matches, he scored 446 runs at an average of 40.55 in the IPL 2024. Hence, he can be a good inclusion to the team.
4. Yuzvendra Chahal
Spin wizard Yuzvendra Chahal is another dynamic player who has done really well in his IPL career. He was with RR the previous season but is now looking for a team. Chahal played 15 matches in the IPL 2024, where he claimed 18 wickets at an economy of 9.41. He might be the perfect fit for the job since he's a class spinner.
5. Rachin Ravindra
CSK's former player, Rachin Ravindra, might be a good choice for RCB, considering his performance at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. He is a handy opener and can give quick runs at the start of the game. He is a brilliant striker of the ball, and having him in the team might increase RCB's chances of winning games in crunch situations. Even though his last season's performance wasn't great, he picked up the game well. So, there wouldn't be an issue for RCB.
