In the 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. While MI is already out of the league, there are high chances for KKR to finish on top of the table if they win this match. KKR is currently leading the points table with 16 points and MI is in the ninth position with eight points. This game will be really interesting because if KKR lose this match their chances to finish in the top 2 will be hampered. This year hasn't been great for MI in terms of batting and bowling but they'll definitely look to finish their campaign on a winning note.

Let's check out the key battles in the KKR vs MI match:

1. Andre Russell vs Jasprit Bumrah:

Russell

Andre Russell is one of the most dangerous batters in the world and once he gets going it becomes really difficult for everyone to dismiss him. In this season as well, he has played some amazing knocks helping KKR win matches. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler in India. He has the ability to take wickets at regular intervals which becomes handy for the team. In this battle, Russell has scored 56 runs off 44 balls while Bumrah has taken his wicket four times. This battle will be fun to watch as Russell's weakness is Yorkers and Bumrah's expertise lies in the same.

2. Rohit Sharma vs Sunil Narine:

Rohit

Rohit Sharma's IPL 2024 is full of ups and downs. While his start was great, he failed to convert it in the next half of the tournament. But that's not the case with Sunil Narine who has been in incredible form in this year's IPL. He has been consistent with the ball and has taken wickets whenever needed. Rohit's struggle against spin is quite evident as Narine has dismissed him eight times while the right-handed batter has scored 141 runs in 131 balls.

3. Suryakumar Yadav vs Andre Russell:

SKY

Dismissing Suryakumar Yadav when he is in his prime form is quite a task for the bowlers. He can play shots from all angles and perfectly attack the bowlers. But Andre Russell knows the tactics to get the batters out. He comes in during the middle overs and gets the important breakthroughs whenever possible. If we talk about stats, Russell has dismissed SKY thrice while the batter has scored 49 runs off 25 balls.
