Sunrisers Hyderabad won yet another game to move into the second spot in the IPL table. Pat Cummins and his excellent leadership bore fruit yet again as they swept aside the Delhi Capitals side with ease.

Put into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 266/7 from 20 overs with yet another brutal batting display. Travis Head scored 89 runs to top score once again while Shahbaz Ahmed scored 59 in the back end of the innings.

Jake Fraser-McGurk came up with an 18-ball 65 for Delhi but that knock wasn’t enough. The Sunrisers team held their own with the ball to register a huge win to continue their march to the playoffs.

5. T Natarajan – 4/19 from four overs.

The left-arm seamer showed what a good bowler he is in the T20 format with his clever bowling. The 33-year-old mixed his pace well and kept things tight as he did a lot of damage with the ball. Natarajan was instrumental in knocking off the lower order to help SRH gain a huge win.

4. Abhishek Sharma – 46 runs from 12 balls

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s decision to push Abhishek Sharma back to the opening slot instead of Mayank Agarwal seems to have worked well. The young batter has been able to give his team good starts to his side. Abhishek Sharma was able to score 46 runs off just 12 balls with 2 fours and 6 sixes in his knock. He was well set to break the fastest IPL record before being dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.

3. Shahbaz Ahmed – 59 runs from 29 balls

Delhi Capitals bowlers managed to make a comeback into the contest with some tight overs and regular wickets. Shahbaz Ahmed then launched a brutal assault on the already tired Delhi bowlers to further deal a huge blow. The left-handed batter got to his first IPL fifty and ended with 59 off 29 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes.

2. Jake Fraser-McGurk – 65 runs off 18 balls

Needing 267 to win, Delhi Capitals needed some inspiration with the bat, especially after losing two early wickets. Young Jake Fraser-McGurk took it upon himself to provide the much-needed ammunition to the home team. The young batter scored the fastest IPL 50 by a Delhi Capitals batter in just 15 balls. The knock included five boundaries and 7 huge hits into the crowd.

1. Travis Head – 89 runs off 32 balls

IPL 2024 is turning out to be a Travis Head show as the Australian batter continues to show his destructive side. The left-handed batter had just pummeled the RCB bowlers into submission a few nights ago. Not content with that effort, the 30-year-old unleashed mayhem by scoring 89 runs off 46 balls. His half-century came off just 16 balls before his innings was ended by Kuldeep Yadav.
