The entire world is celebrating the World Yoga Day today i.e. on June 21. Notably, Yoga is one of the essential parts of human life, be it a common man or an athlete active in the field of sports. Yoga is necessary for an individual to keep his body always fit and relevant in the always-changing conditions of climate and the human lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Yoga also holds an important stake in the field of cricket as some of the cricketers prefer to have Yoga as a part of their daily fitness routine to keep themselves always fit in the ever-changing demands of the game and the increasing pace with time.

The former uncapped India cricketer, Sarvesh Shashi initially started his journey in the field of cricket, he also played in first-class cricket for a couple of years. However, there came a point in Sarvesh’s life when he decided between cricket and some other choice in life.

It was the time when made a bold move of quitting his cricket career midway to follow his passion for Yoga and started his company named Sarva. His company’s primary focus is Yoga to teach individuals about how to tackle the challenges of the fast-paced modern lifestyle. Sarvesh’s Sarva has now a market value of up to INR 100 crores, working in 32 cities, with 90 studios. His initiative also got recognition and support from a lot of renowned celebrities across various fields.

No one is unacquainted with the unforgettable contributions of the veteran Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan in Indian cricket. The Southpaw was one of the vital cogs in the wheel for the men in blue in their historic ‘Champions Trophy 2013’ win as he won the golden bat award for amazing performances throughout the tournament.

But how many of you know that Dhawan is also one of the few Indian cricketers who ranks Yoga above everything when it comes to maintaining fitness and keeping the body relevant according to the changing demands of the game? Just a couple of years back, Dhawan invested in the famous yoga chain Sarva, owned by former Indian cricketer Sarvesh Shashi.

He also earned a lot of respect and praise for his amazing presence of mind in the match and for winning the games with his clever approach.

Dhoni’s fitness is also adored highly among youngsters; interestingly, Dhoni has Yoga as a part of his fitness routine. It’s only the Yoga that Dhoni still playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League even at the age of 42-43.
