Notably, the Champions Trophy is returning after a long wait of 8 years since it was last played in England in 2017, in which Pakistan defeated the arch-rivals India in the Final to clinch the title for the first.

The upcoming ninth edition of the Champions Trophy is divided into two groups namely A and B. Group A will include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand while Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia are placed in Group B.
