GT all-rounder Rahul Tewatia displayed amazing athleticism against SRH in the ongoing 51st game of the Indian Premier League 2025. With an almost single-handed catch, he happened to save five crucial runs for his side while defending the target in the second innings. The moment came on the fifth ball of the 13th over in the SRH innings.
It happened when Rashid Khan bowled a fuller length ball outside the off stump to SRH wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen, which the latter lofted with a brilliant connection. But an amazing scene was awaiting at the boundary line where Rahul Tewatia was fielding on the long-on region.
Tewatia jumped high when he was very close to the boundary line.
Realising his nearness towards the boundary line, Tewatia immediately pushed the ball back to the ground with his palm instead of sticking to it for a catch.
The visuals of Tewatia’s amazing five-run save for GT also went viral on social media as soon as a user shared on X (formerly Twitter).
