Young PBKS batter Nehal Wadhera displayed a brilliant batting performance of 62 runs off 41 balls, with 4 fours and three sixes against RR in the 18th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League. But what the eyeballs was the end of Wadhera’s innings with a spectacular catch taken by RR’s Dhruv Jurel.

The moment came on the first ball of the 16th over when Wanindu Hasaranga was bowling; Hasaranga bowled a fuller length, quite wide of the stumps. Wadhera attempted to slog it over the cow cornet, but it was an effort to go against the angle.

Eventually, the ball took the bottom part of the bat, and it went towards the deep mid-wicket region, where Dhruv Jurel executed an amazing catch just a few inches off the ground. Speaking of the action of the game between PBKS and RR, the hosts’ skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and asked RR to bat first; batting first, RR posted a big total of 205 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant knock of 67 runs off 45 balls, with three fours and five sixes, followed by Riyan Parag’s 43 runs off just 25 balls, with three fours and three sixes. 

Besides these two, skipper Sanju Samson also scored 38 runs off 26 balls, with six fours, to help Rajasthan post a 200+ total.

While chasing the target, Punjab Kings struggled against the RR bowling attack and got restricted to the score of 155 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the entire 20 overs. It was only the young batter Nehal Wadhera who scored 62 runs off 41 balls, with 4 fours and two sixes.
