'I thought he was absolutely sensational' - Former India player lauds Hardik Pandya's performance in Bangladesh series

Hardik Pandya's transformation as India's best all-rounder is known to everyone. The cricketer is known for his stylish and hard-hitting batting in T20Is. But if we talk about the last 8-9 months of his life, it has been critical. From getting booed by his own crowd during the IPL 2024 to getting praised for his performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, he has come a long way with a smile on his face. 

Many former players have been praising Hardik for a long time as they understand his worth on the Indian team. Recently, ex-Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra spoke about Hardik's hardship and how much he deserved to win the Player of the Series award against Bangladesh in the T20I series.

Aakash said, "So to stage a turnaround from there, to keep smiling, and to do a good job when he got a chance. His batting in all three matches, he has played few balls but always with a strike rate above 200. I thought he was absolutely sensational."

In the final game, Hardik scored 47 runs in just 18 balls, including four boundaries and four sixes. He hit the ball efficiently, which was a great thing. Hardik's been a perfect crowd-puller with his strong game, and in the Bangladesh series, he showed his all-round prowess.

It was an all-round performance by the player, and hence, he deserved to win the award. Hardik spoke about the support shown by the skipper and the coach, which was a great gesture. He enjoyed batting in the tournament, which was pretty much evident from the way he played the shots freely. 

"The kind of freedom the skipper and the coach has given, that has been fantastic to the whole group. That is coming to all the players who are playing. At the end of the day, this sport, if you can enjoy, that's the best way you can get maximum out of yourself," said Hardik Pandya.
