The most-awaited game of the Champions Trophy 2025, the clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan, occurred on February 23. It was a one-sided game in favour of India as former captain Virat Kohli stood up for the team and scored a blistering century. With this win, India have unofficially qualified for the semi-finals and Pakistan are out of the tournament. It was an embarrassing day for the Pakistani fans as their batting and bowling weren't good on the match day.

India will play their last group stage game against New Zealand on March 2. Meanwhile, at the presentation, when the commentator asked Kohli about the two-week break India are getting ahead of their next clash, he mentioned that he is quite happy about it.

"A week off, is it a good thing or otherwise? To be honest, at 36, it's very good. I don't know about the 23-24 year olds, but for me, it's really, really good. I just need to put my feet up for two days because it takes a lot out of me now to keep putting that kind of effort on the field, and I'm just thankful we have a bit of time off now," said Virat Kohli at the post-match presentation.

He loves representing the country: Rohit Sharma

Skipper Rohit Sharma seemed very excited after Virat Kohli hit a century against Pakistan on Sunday. While talking to the commentators, the Indian captain said that the dressing room isn't surprised by Kohli's heroics anymore. This is the impact of the 36-year-old player on the team. He is a true modern-day legend and a great inspiration to the youngsters out there.

"He loves representing the country. He wants to be out there playing for the team, doing what he does best which is to go out there and do what he did today. That's what he's known for. Over the years, we've seen it with him. People sitting inside the dressing room are not surprised with what he has done. It was good for him to be out there in the middle, finish the game off and then a couple of crucial knocks from the other guys as well," said Rohit Sharma.
