Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's friendly relationship is known to everybody. During their bad phases, they were always there and defended each other in front of the media. Even though they talk about their friendship very little, it's pretty evident from their behaviour on and off the field that they value their friendship more than anything. In a recent interview, Virat was seen talking about how he and Rohit started playing cricket together and how their bond has evolved.
"I and Rohit Sharma played together in the last 15-16 years - It's been an amazing journey we have shared together," said Virat at the Asian Paints Event.
Moreover, for the upcoming T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma is set to captain the India team. The BCCI haven't released the squad for the tournament yet as they are keeping an eye on the players who are involved in the IPL 2024. However, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed the captaincy news a few weeks ago. As per reports, the Board will release the squad after the first half of the IPL.
'People are disappointed with my behaviour...' - Virat Kohli at an event
At a recent event, Virat Kohli talked about how people were disappointed with him after he made friends with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir. During a match in 2023, Virat fought with Naveen and Gautam Gambhir. Previously in 2013, Virat and Gambhir had an epic clash which is still remembered by the fans. But recently, they were seen having friendly conversations and hugging each other out during the matches which was tough for the fans to digest.
"People are disappointed with my behaviour. That day I went and hugged Naveen (Naveen-ul-Haq) and then last time Gauti Bhai (Gautam Gambhir) came and hugged me, so the drama got over. Are we still kids or what?" said Virat during the event.
