Adelaide Oval is all set to host the second Test match between Australia and India starting on Friday. Ahead of the game, many of the fans and Indian players will remember in the back of their minds the complete annihilation faced four years ago. India were reduced to 36/9 to record their lowest Test score as Australia won by 8 wickets.
Most of the players who were part of the 2020 Test match aren’t part of the current squad. Opener Mayank Agarwal was dropped from the team after the 2022 game in Bengaluru against Sri Lanka. Prithvi Shaw’s last game came during the same game in 2020. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane played their last games for India in 2023.
Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha played his last match in 2021 against New Zealand in Mumbai. Batter Hanuma Vihari featured in the 2022 game versus England before being dropped. Pacer bowler Umesh Yadav also was dropped from the team in 2022 after a string of inconsistent performances.
How many players from the current squad played the 2020 Test?
