Hollywood star Hugh Jackman reveals his favourite Indian cricketer; expresses happiness over India's World Cup win

It's rare for Hollywood actors to watch cricket since the sport isn't that famous in those countries. However, Hollywood star Hugh Jackman reveals his favourite Indian cricketer, and it's none other than skipper Rohit Sharma. People liking Rohit is a reality now, and Hugh's revelation proves the point. During an interview, Hugh was asked about his favourite cricketer, and in reply, he said, "Right now, Rohit."  

Moreover, he also expressed his happiness for India in winning the T20 World Cup 2024. In the World Cup finals, India defeated South Africa by seven runs to lift the trophy and return it home after 11 years of wait. It was an emotional moment for the entire country, and the people were still not done celebrating the win. 

The 2023 ODI World Cup loss still haunts cricket fans, and this win was extremely important. There was a victory parade held by BCCI in Mumbai from Marine Drive to the Wankhade Stadium, and the entire city turned up to celebrate the win. It was also a great sight for the people living away from Mumbai. 

India's tour of Zimbabwe starts today, July 6

After the World Cup, India aim to win the 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at Harare. The series starts on July 6 and will conclude on July 14. It's a short series and will be played by India's young team. The team is led by Shubman Gill, who is captaining for the first time.
