'His passion and spirit are unmatched...' - Former RCB batter Sarfaraz Khan talks about his experience of sharing dressing room with Virat Kohli

Sarfaraz Khan has been a consistent scorer in the domestic set-up. However, there was a time when he used to play for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and played an absolutely wonderful innings after which Virat Kohli bowed to him.

Sarfaraz remembered that moment even now and expressed his emotions while having a chat with the Jio Cinema. Moreover, he praised Kohli for being mentally fit and advising the players whenever possible. Kohli's influence on the RCB team has been great since he's an amazing player and understands the game really well. 

"His (Virat Kohli's) passion and spirit are unmatched. Whenever I saw him, even in the pre-match meetings, he'd take charge and tell everyone how many runs he'd score off a particular bowler and break that down for everyone. To be gutsy enough to stand up and talk with such positivity in front of everyone and then deliver the next day is a very unique ability," said Sarfaraz Khan during the interview.

Kohli's enthusiasm and hard work on the field are absolutely surreal. He is one passionate person who loves the game and has improved his fitness for the game. Even though he is a big foodie, he has kept all his food habits aside and followed a strict diet. This level of dedication is the reason behind his major fan-following and craze among the young budding players.

It was a dream to share an Indian team dressing room with him: Sarfaraz Khan

Like every cricketer, Sarfaraz Khan too has a dream of sharing the Indian team dressing room with Virat Kohli. He is a great inspiration for many, and the players will learn from him. Even after being a part of the RCB team where he already shared the dressing room with the run-machine, Sarfaraz now dreams of sharing the Indian team's dressing room and hopes that the time will come soon.

"I met him at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for the first time. I had scored 45 runs in 21 balls here and he bowed at me. I had a lot of fun that day. It was a dream to share an Indian team dressing room with him it will come true in the future if I get the opportunity," said Sarfaraz Khan.

The wicketkeeper-batter will have the opportunity to share the dressing room with Kohli in the upcoming 2-match Test series against Bangladesh as he has been selected in the squad. However, there are very less chances of him getting a place in the playing 11.
