Mohammed Siraj received a lot of criticism from former players related to his angry send-off given to Travis Head during the second Test match against Australia. Former India player Kris Srikkanth spoke about the bowler's attitude towards the game and said that he shouldn't have given such a harsh treatment to Head, who scored 140 runs in 141 balls. After bashing the bowlers, Head was supposed to get a 'brilliant knock' send-off rather than an angry one as per Srikkanth.

"He has smashed the bowling mercilessly. Hey Siraj, don't you have brains? What are you doing? Have you gone mad? He smashed you left, right and centre. He hit boundaries and sixes effortlessly in his knock of 140. You're giving him a send-off after that. Is this called Sledging? What rubbish is this? It's just madness," said Srikkanth.

While many criticized the player, there were a lot of players who spoke in favor of Siraj. It wasn't Siraj's fault in the first place as he was just celebrating. Head's response in anger to the celebration made Siraj aggressive after the dismissal. Moreover, Head was troubling India and his wicket was a huge relief for the team. So, giving a casual send-off wouldn't be justified for the team.

Sweet with it: Travis Head

Travis Head gave a statement in the presser saying he said 'well bowled' to Siraj but the bowler didn't reciprocate wisely. However, Siraj said the opposite of what Head said. As per Siraj, Head started swearing as could be seen on the television, post which Siraj's frustrated reaction came. After winning the Player of the Match award, Head cleared out the conversation happened between two players during India's batting and cleared out the air.

"Sweet with it. He came out and just said [it was] a little bit of a misunderstanding ... I think we will move on. We've had a great week, so let's not let it ruin it," said Travis Head.
