WATCH: Heartwarming moment: Anushka Sharma hugs Rohit Sharma after India clinch Champions Trophy 2025

Rohit Sharma's terrific knock in the finals of the Champions Trophy 2025 helped India clinch victory and win the trophy for the third time in history. The night was filled with memorable experiences for the players and the fans as well. After winning the game, each player went back to their family members. 

Amidst the celebrations, Rohit went to see his family members where Anushka Sharma was standing close by waiting for Virat Kohli. She was then spotted giving Rohit a heartfelt hug and congratulating him on the win and his knock in the finals. It was a heartwarming moment as it showed the friendship between them.

The young players were seen dancing their hearts out after the win. Even Virat Kohli was spotted showering champagne at Rishabh Pant after the awards ceremony. The enjoyment and the celebration made the tournament worth remembering for a long time. With the Champions Trophy under the belt, Kohli became the only Indian player to hold all the trophies, including the U-19 World Cup 2008. 

Rohit Sharma shut down retirement rumors 

While there were many speculations related to Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Virat Kohli's retirement news, the players made it clear that they aren't going anywhere for now. During the press conference, Rohit announced that he was staying and that there shouldn't be any rumors regarding his retirement anymore. 

It was Jadeja who made a post on social media saying that he will continue playing for India in the upcoming games. Moreover, this was India's seventh title in cricket. For now, captain Rohit hasn't won the ODI World Cup and the Test match. Well, the WTC is a long-standing dream for India now, but they can surely win the upcoming ODI WC in 2027.
