South Africa's former cricketer Mark Boucher spoke about David Miller's failure in facing a spin bowling attack against India in the 1st T20I game. Thanks to Sanju Samson's century, India beat the hosts by a huge margin of 61 runs. However, the bowlers were excellent as well. Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakaravarthy claimed six wickets, not allowing the batters to settle down during the game. This had a huge impact on South Africa's batting.

"David Miller wasn’t picking a thing at all. I mean, there’s one over there where I think he missed four out of the six deliveries he faced. So yeah, he was bowled really well tonight, and it just goes to show two quality spinners. There was something there for the bowlers on that wicket. Something that South African bowlers could not exploit," Boucher said.

South African batters didn't have a good time on the field, as none of them touched the 30-run mark. The failure of top-order batters in the match led to the Proteas' downfall in the game. However, Gerald Coetzee did well with his all-round approach with the bat and the ball. He claimed three wickets in the first innings and scored 23 runs in 11 balls in the second. He hit three huge sixes to get his team past the victory line.

Really enjoyed my time in the middle: Sanju Samson

After hitting two consecutive centuries, Sanju Samson will be proud of his efforts. While talking at the post-match presentation, Samson mentioned that he enjoyed batting at the Kingsmead Stadium, Durban, and is looking forward to playing more such knocks in the future. He has turned out to be a great opener for the team.

"Really enjoyed my time in the middle. Playing it well, maximum utilisation of my current form you can say. The intent, we have been talking about being aggressive and keeping the team ahead of yourselves. Once you play three-four balls you are looking for the boundary, I'm not thinking much, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't, happy it worked out well today," said Sanju Samson.
