In the 21st match of the Indian Premier League, Lucknow Super Giants suffered a huge loss as their star pace bowler, Mayank Yadav went off the field due to a side strain after bowling only one over. The injury did give the LSG fans a minor attack as he is the bowling sensation of the team and has single-handedly won matches for his team. However, after the match, his teammate Krunal Pandya updated the fans about his injury and said that Yadav is doing fine as of now.

"I don't know what is happening but I did have a brief couple of seconds' chat - he seemed okay, which was quite a relief for us. A bright prospect, I'd been watching him for the last two years. He used to bowl guns in the nets. Last year, unfortunately, he missed it (due to injury). But again, whatever conversation I have had, what I see is that he has a good head on his shoulders as well," said Krunal Pandya after the match.

Mayank Yadav made a dream debut in IPL 2024 as he won two back-to-back POTM awards in the first two games of his career. Moreover, he is the pace sensation as he has bowled the fastest ball of the season, 156.7 km. One good thing about the bowler is his ability to keep the line and length intact even after bowling with great speed. Furthermore, if he continues to maintain this dedication, he will be a part of the Indian team sooner or later.

'KL said it was my day...' - Yash Thakur after winning the POTM award

LSG's Yash Thakur claimed a five-wicket haul against the Gujarat Titans (GT) and won the 'Player of the Match' award. In the absence of Mayank Yadav, Thakur took responsibility for the team and fulfilled the captain's expectations. At the post-match presentation, he revealed the conversation he had with Captain after Mayank left the field.

"I had planned against Gill, I stuck to my plan, KL Rahul had advised me to do so and it paid off. Unfortunately, Mayank Yadav got injured, so KL said it was my day and asked me to make the most of it. We are winning the first game against GT in IPL history, very happy with it," said Yash at the post-match presentation.
