Former India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin recently announced his retirement from international cricket mid-series against Australia. He is one of the most knowledgeable players in the history of the game and is respected by many. While speaking about the upcoming India vs England white-ball series, Ashwin shed light on Phil Salt and considered him the most valuable T20 batter in the world. However, he also mentioned that Salt isn't in his best form, which might be troublesome for England.
"Phil Salt played for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. We can say that he could be the most valuable T20 batter in the world. So, if we look at his performance considering that, he is not coming in with a very good form. He scored a 70 and it was a very struggling 70," said Ravichandran Ashwin in his YouTube video.
India will take on England in the first T20I game in Kolkata. It will be an exciting series for the viewers to watch as the teams are filled with star players. Both teams will look to play some good cricket ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

He can be a big player in the future: Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin heaped praises on the England batter Jacob Bethell, who has been in tremendous form. The player is an asset to the team and has a high chance of performing well in the upcoming series. Also, in the IPL, RCB grabbed him, so Ashwin asked the RCB fans to pay attention to the player.
"His entry into international cricket till now in Test cricket and whatever white-ball cricket he has played, he has entertained to the core. This guy has so much ability that he can do anything. He would definitely be a player to watch out for. If you are an RCB fan and like to watch new cricketers, then pay a little attention to this guy. He can be a big player in the future," said Ashwin.
