The ‘Gautam Gambhir’ effect once again worked for the Kolkata Knight Riders after 10 years of their IPL title win in the 2014 edition. The team clinched the title in the just-concluded IPL 2024 after defeating SRH by a big margin of 8 wickets in the final of the tournament. Notably, Gambhir joined KKR as the mentor just before the commencement of the Indian Premier League 2024.

Meanwhile, Gambhir himself came up with a special post after KKR's title win in the IPL 2024; this post shared by the former India opener on his official X handle (formerly Twitter), went viral over social media.

After KKR’s third title victory in the history of the tournament, Gambhir came up with a special ‘Shri Krishna’ remarked X-post.

“Jiski mati aur gati satya kee ho, uska rath aaj bhi Shri Krishna chalate hain (Whose thoughts and actions are of truth, Even today Lord Krishna drives his chariot,” wrote Gambhir in his X post.

Here’s a look at Gautam Gambhir’s X-post:

Speaking of the action of the IPL 2024 Final, the eventual champions KKR dominated throughout the match, from the first ball to the winning run. SRH won the toss and batted first at MA Chidambaram’s surface; however, the mighty batting attack of SRH drastically failed against the KKR bowlers; the Sunrisers were bundled out at the score of just 113 runs in 18.3 overs.

Andre Russell bagged 3 wickets for KKR, alongside Harshit Rana and ‘Player of the Match’ Mitchell Starc who scalped 2 wickets each. Apart from these three, Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy also picked one wicket each in the first innings for KKR.

While chasing the target, the pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz led the ‘charge of the chase’ for KKR as they stitched a match-winning partnership of 91 runs while chasing the target of 114 runs. Eventually, KKR won by 8 wickets and clinched their third title in the history of the Indian Premier League. It is also a title win for KKR in IPL after a long wait of 10 years since 2014.
