The players are gearing up for a good series in the upcoming Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test series. The 2-match Test series between the neighbouring nations falls under the WTC cycle and, hence, will have to be extra careful before making any mistake. Speaking about the series, former Pakistan player Salman Butt revealed the three fittest players in the team currently.

His list sidelined Babar Azam, which shocked the fans. The former skipper took to his YouTube channel to discuss the series and the players' fitness levels. Butt said, "Fitness improvements are on the horizon. It’s not accurate to say that all players are unfit. Shan Masood, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan have proven their fitness, excelling in the gym and running well on the field. Their efforts place them among the world’s elite in terms of physical conditioning."

Butt is quite impressed with the new Test captain Shan Masood and hopes that he'll pull off a great series in the upcoming time. He's one of the best players in Pakistan and has proved his worth in recent times. Moreover, the series is highly important for both teams, which will make the series even more interesting.

Players must take responsibility for their fitness: Salman Butt

Salman Butt did shed light on the successful career of Babar Azam and how he's been an important player in the Pakistan team. Babar is a great performer who is successful on the field in both innings of a Test match, which speaks volumes about his dedication to the game. He's, in fact, the No.1 batter in the ODI rankings. Even though his fitness level is not as great as other players, but as a cricketer is absolutely one of the best.

"Babar’s success on the field, both in the first and second innings, is a testament to the importance of maintaining peak physical condition. However, progress is being stifled midway, which is a significant issue. Players must take responsibility for their fitness," added Salman Butt.
