As per reports, for the upcoming India tour of Zimbabwe, VVS Laxman and his support staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) will accompany the team, which will start on July 6. There will be a 5-match T20I series to be held in Zimbabwe. The squad for the upcoming series will be released on June 23 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Moreover, the Board also plans to get Gautam Gambhir onboard for the next series against Sri Lanka, where India will go to the neighbouring country to play a few matches. That would be the perfect time for Gambhir to interact with the players and start his job. The news of him taking over the head coach's position is almost confirmed and has to be made official by the management.

Moreover, once he is made the coach, he'll probably have the authority to select his own team, bowling coach, and support staff. He has also demanded two separate teams for white-ball and red-ball cricket, so we might see many more changes than usual after he's made the coach. Hopefully, these changes will be good for the long run.
