"It’s a privilege to be part of the Royals family. The opportunity to work again with Rahul, and now with a talented group of young cricketers, is hugely exciting. I look forward to contributing to the team’s vision and working toward our goal of developing top-class players for the Royals and for India which can help in winning championships," Rathour said after his appointment.
Rathour was India's batting coach from 2019-2023 and has vast experience in the field. Hence, choosing him along with Rahul Dravid is a good decision. Now, their next job will be to pick up some good players for the mega auction, which will help them win the trophy. RR were the IPL winners in the inaugural year of the tournament. However, after that, they haven't won a single trophy even after qualifying for playoffs multiple times.
IPL 2025 auction to be held in overseas countries
The IPL 2025 mega auction is set to be held in November but in an overseas nation. As per reports, the rules and regulations will be released by the Board for Cricket Council of India (BCCI) in a couple of days. The Board will also announce the venue of the event in public. Reports have suggested three places where the tournament can be held: Doha, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai.
All three venues have been quite historic when it comes to sports. The reason behind the shifting of the venue and the dates will be released soon by the Board. Until then, the fans can hope for good news in the retention and other policies for the upcoming IPL.
