Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar comes out in favour of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja during the ongoing 2nd Test match between India and Bangladesh at Green Park, Kanpur. As per Manjrekar, skipper Rohit Sharma ignored Jadeja at the start of the game even though his numbers were quite high in front of the left-handers. Manjrekar took to Twitter to show a stat where Jadeja's numbers against left-handers looked considerably good.

However, Jadeja still didn't get a chance to bowl on the first day of the game before it got affected by rain. Bangladesh played 107 overs, and Rohit didn't find it necessary to hand over the ball to Jadeja. Apart from him, all the other bowlers got their fair amount of chances. The standout performer was Akash Deep, who helped India get their first breakthrough. He went on to take one more wicket.

Ravichandran Ashwin also tried his hands on the first day and got rid of skipper Shanto who was playing on 31 runs. A video went viral on day 1 where, just before the wicket, Rishabh Pant instructed Ashwin to bowl at a certain place, and when he did, he got the wicket of the skipper.

Perfect show of batting spirit by Mominul Haque

After an average outing in the 1st game, Mominul Haque showed the critics how good a batter he is. In the 2nd Test match against India, he scored 40 runs and is still on the crease. He took his time and settled well before trying to go after the bowlers. He hit seven boundaries and played extremely well throughout the innings.

The game has been stopped due to rain, but from his batting, it looked like he had the hunger to score runs in this game. Bangladesh will be looking to build a partnership once the game resumes which will help them get a respectable total on the board through which they can dominate India in the game.
