Champions Trophy 2025 is set to feature eight of the best teams in the ODI format. The tournament starts on 19th February with defending champions Pakistan taking on former winners New Zealand. Ever since the tournament began in 1998, some of the best batters in the world have taken part in the event.
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden ICC Champions Trophy century against Australia in 1998. The tonne came in 95 balls, which was at that time the fastest century in Champions Trophy history. Some of the biggest names in cricket history have left their long-lasting impression in the tournament with terrific batting performances.
Former India batter Shikhar Dhawan has the most hundreds in the ICC Champions Trophy tournament. The 39-year-old scored three centuries in ten matches with a total of 701 runs with an average of 77 and strike rate of 101. Dhawan was the leading scorer in the 2013 tournament, which India won by beating England in the finals.

India took on Australia in their first match of the 1998 ICC Knockouts Trophy. Sachin Tendulkar scored 141 runs off just 128 balls with 19 fours and three sixes. Tendulkar scored his tonne off just 95 balls, having hit the Australian bowlers to all parts of the ground. India scored 307 for the loss of eight wickets and won the game by 44 runs as Sachin Tendulkar picked 4/38 with the ball and was named man of the match for his efforts.

Former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis was a key part of his side as they won the inaugural tournament in 1998. Kallis scored one of the fastest centuries in Champions Trophy history during the first semi-final against Sri Lanka. Jacques Kallis scored 113 runs from 100 balls with five fours and an equal number of sixes. Thanks to this effort, South Africa scored 240 runs from their 39 overs and won the match by 92 runs.

Two English batters occupy the third spot for the fastest centuries in Champions Trophy history. Andrew Flintoff scored his century against Sri Lanka at Southampton in a rain-affected match during the 2004 edition of the tournament. England won the game by 49 runs on the back of the Duckworth and Lewis method. Marcus Trescothick achieved the feat during the 2002 edition in the game against Zimbabwe in Colombo. Trescothick scored his century off 89 balls as England won the match by 108 runs. The left-handed batter scored 119 off 102 balls and was named man of the match for his efforts.
2: Tillakaratne Dilshan, 87 balls, 2009

In the very first game of the 2009 edition of the Champions Trophy tournament, hosts South Africa took on Sri Lanka. Former skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan took the hosts to the cleaners and scored the match, winning 106 off 92 balls. The batter scored his tonne off just 89 balls and scored the second fastest century in Champions Trophy history. Sri Lanka scored 319 on the board and won the match by 113 runs to get off to a great start in the tournament.

The record for the fastest century in Champions Trophy history belongs to former India batter Virender Sehwag. The feat was achieved during the 2002 Champions Trophy game against England played in Colombo. Sehwag scored his century off just 77 balls before being dismissed for 126 off 104 balls with 21 fours and a six. Earlier in the day, England batted first and scored 269 on the board, with Ian Blackwell top scoring with 82. India won by 8 wickets, with Sourav Ganguly scoring 117 not out from 109 balls.
