Estonia's Sahil Chauhan has created history by scoring the fastest century in a T20I game against Cyprus. The teams are playing a 6-match bilateral series in Episkopi. In the 2nd T20I against Crypus, Chauhan went on to score a century in just 27 balls, making it to the book of records. He became the first player to do so. He also hit 18 sixes in an innings, which is the highest by any batter until now. 

At the Happy Valley Ground, Cyprus came to bat first in the first innings and managed to post a total of 191 runs on the board. For Cyprus, Taranjit Singh scored 44 runs off 17 balls, and Arjun Shahi scored 18 runs off 11 balls. All other batters contributed to the innings; hence, the team reached a good total.

When Estonia came into bat, they lost three early wickets, pushing the team under pressure. However, Sahil Chauhan helped his nerve and scored a terrific century off just 27 balls, making it a worldwide record. He scored 144 runs off 41 balls, including 18 sixes and six boundaries. Bilal Masud supported him by scoring 21 runs off 16 balls towards the end of the match. For an impactful performance, Chauhan won the Player of the Match award.

In just the fourth T20I innings, Sahil Chauhan went on to achieve a feat that no one can think of breaking in the near future. Not only scoring the fastest century is a rare feat, but hitting 18 sixes is equally commendable. Before Chauhan, Jan-Nicol Loftie Eaton of Namibia scored a century in just 33 balls against Nepal.
