Former India cricketer RP Singh took a dig at Hardik Pandya's performance in the 1st T20I game against Bangladesh. Hardik scored 39 runs off 15 balls including five boundaries and two sixes. He played some mindblowing shots in the game which shocked the bowlers but entertained the entire crowd. However, his innings landed him under criticism as former players like RP Singh claimed that playing against weak teams doesn't define how good a player is.

"I think using a performance against Bangladesh to judge a player's form is not right. The way they are playing, it is not at the highest level at the moment. Hardik did well, he is capable of doing things like that. But using a performance against this team as a criterion in my opinion is not right. Do that maybe against a better team or in a better competition," said RP Singh.

Apart from Hardik, Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson also played well. Since the target was less, many people didn't get a chance to bat and show their talent to others. India's next game against Bangladesh is on October 9 in Delhi. If India win this match, they'll clinch the series.

Mohammed Shami ruled out of first two rounds of Ranji Trophy 2024

In the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024 season, Mohammed Shami is ruled out from the first two rounds due to injury. He is still recovering from the ankle injury and will require some more time to make his comeback to the team. The main concern for India is related to the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 which will be held in November. If Shami won't be fit by then, India will have to look for replacements.

While there are a few players who can replace him in the team, nobody can match the heroics of Shami at all. He is an amazing bowler who can deliver according to situations and also give breakthroughs whenever needed. However, India will miss his presence if he's ruled out of the Australia series.
