Disney Star offers special feed for hearing and visually impaired fans for ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation and audio descriptive commentary are introduced by the official broadcasters of Disney Hotstar and Star Sports Network.

Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation and audio descriptive commentary have come to the rescue for the hearing and visually-impaired cricket fans who can watch the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 without difficulty. The official broadcasters of Disney Hotstar and Star Sports Network have announced a special telecast arrangement which will serve the diverse needs of deaf, hard-of-hearing, and visually impaired viewers. 

"The Government of India is committed to creating an inclusive society and I strongly believe that this initiative will enhance the viewing experience for millions of differently-abled sports enthusiasts," said Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur in a press release. 

Moreover, the ISL feed will deliver minute-by-minute updates with live stream translation and facilitate access for individuals who rely on sign language. Also, Sanjog Gupta, Head of Disney Star (Sports) welcomed this initiative and also mentioned the fact that the initiative has gotten good reviews in the ongoing IPL 2024. 

India's T20 World Cup 2024 campaign to start on June 5

The upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will start on June 2 in the US and the West Indies. However, for India, the campaign starts on June 5 against Ireland. It will be an interesting game as the match will be on New York's new pitch which nobody can predict. The India squad for the marquee event is already declared and the players will leave right after the ongoing IPL 2024 ends. Moreover, India is in the A group along with Ireland, Canada, Pakistan, and the USA.
