The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) is set to start on Saturday, 17th of August, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. For the opening ceremony, actress Sonam Bajwa and rapper-singer Badshah will mark their presence and make the event a grand success. The tournament is a six-team affair, and before the cricket matches start, the opening ceremony takes place.
The brand new T20 league is a good opportunity for young budding cricketers who need more exposure to each other, which will help them in the future. While IPL is there, this particular tournament will also help the selectors scout new talent for the upcoming international matches. The first match of the inaugural tournament will be between Purani Dilli 6 and South Delhi Superstarz at 8.30 PM IST.

Ruturaj Gaikwad to lead Team C in Duleep Trophy 2024
In the upcoming Duleep trophy 2024, Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is all set to lead Team C, where Rajat Patidar, Suryakumar Yadav, and many more players are there. The tournament will kick start on September 5, but the venues aren't confirmed yet. Moreover, Shubman Gill is also the captain of Team A, which will provide a good competition between the young stars.
