MI Cape Town's Delano Potgieter has emerged to be a phenomenal player in the ongoing SA20 2025 tournament with a fifer and 25 runs in the opening game against Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Although it was a one-sided game in favour of MI, Potgieter made sure his performance didn't go unseen. However, the fans noticed him using Virat Kohli's bat during his batting in the first innings.
Interestingly, Rashid Khan was the one who got the bat from Kohli and the player, who is the captain of MI Cape Town gave the bat to Potgieter to play in the match. With that bat, Potgieter made a stunning cameo of 25 runs in 12 balls, hitting two boundaries and one six.

However, Dewald Brevis changed the course of the game with his brilliant half-century. The player hit 57 runs in 29 balls, including two boundaries and six sixes. MI scored 174 runs in the first innings and won the game by 97 runs thanks to Potgieter's five wickets haul. He conceded just ten runs in three overs.
