Australia's squad for the upcoming England and Scotland tour is announced by the National Selection Panel (NSP). They will play three T20Is against Scotland and five ODI matches against England. Many players will be missing out on the T20Is but will join the ODIs, while Australia's prime pacer, Pat Cummins, is set to miss the entire tour due to a load management strategy.
The Aussies have included Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matthew Short have been included in the squad for the upcoming series after being involved in the T20 World Cup 2024 travel reserves. However, Short will miss the T20Is due to his childbirth and will join in during the ODI series in September.
Furthermore, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc will also miss out on the T20Is series and will be a part of the ODI team later this year. The Australian squad for the T20Is against Scotland will be played by young players who are talented but lack experience in the International format. This series will groom them for future challenges.
