The ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup hasn't been great for the Indian batters since they got to play at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, where the pitches favoured the bowlers more than the batters. Except for Rishabh Pant, no other batter, especially Virat Kohli, has performed in the three games. While many cricket experts and fans started criticizing the Indian management for dropping Yashasvi Jaiswal and making Kohli open, the star batter's performance paved the way for more criticism.

However, the Indian team and batting coach, Vikram Rathour, aren't concerned about Kohli's form or performance in the ongoing tournament. In a recent interview, the Coach clarified that the right-handed batter knows his game well, and there are no concerns regarding his position or performance.

"I love it when every time I come there is a question about Virat Kohli, whether he is doing well or not. No concern at all, no concern at all. He (Kohli) has been batting superbly from the tournament that he came from (IPL). A couple of dismissals here, doesn't change anything, he is batting really well," said Vikram Rathour as quoted by PTI.

Virat Kohli's performance in the T20 World Cup 2024

Virat Kohli is someone who has always stood the test of time and proved himself whenever the world criticized him. He's been doing this for 16 years and has become quite acquainted with it. If we talk about his recent performance in the World Cup, in three matches, he has just scored five runs (1, 4, 0). While this doesn't concern him or his teammates or the management, the critics aren't able to understand that scoring in every match isn't possible.

For Kohli, the standards are pretty high; whenever he fails to achieve those, people start criticizing him. However, one thing should always be remembered: he's a big match player, and failing to perform in three matches doesn't necessarily define who he is. He's known for comebacks; we'll see them in the upcoming days.
