Team India will face their first big test of Champions Trophy 2025 when they take on Bangladesh in the first match. The Men in Blue have been victorious over the Bangladesh team in the last two ICC events they played in. The two sides also met in the semi-finals of the 2017 Champions Trophy and Virat Kohli’s men went onto win. Dubai also hosted the Asia Cup final in 2018 between these two teams that saw India win by one wicket in the last ball of the game. 

Bangladesh (BAN) have seen their graph in ODI cricket rise up over the last few years. The Tigers didn't have a great run in the ODI matches in the last few months with just four wins from their last ten matches. Coming up against in their current form will be tough on Najmul Shanto’s men. Bangladesh though have a great mix of youth and experience and will fondly remember their 2-1 ODI home series win against India in 2022. 

India (IND) are coming off a 3-0 series win over England and will look to start the campaign off on a good note. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be the main focus as the pair have been under tremendous pressure due to their form. Jasprit Bumrah will be a huge loss for India as the 31-year-old has lots of experience of bowling with the new-ball and also in the death overs. The focus will also be on Mohammed Shami who took the 2023 ODI World Cup by storm with the ball and fans will hope for a repeat from the veteran pacer.
