The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) started inviting applications for the new head coach of India’s Men’s Cricket Team. The new coach will take over the responsibility of the Indian team after the end of current head coach Rahul Dravid’s tenure.

“The BCCI on Monday invited applications for the position of Head Coach of the Senior Men's Team. Applications for the position should be submitted in the link by 6 PM IST on May 27, 2024. The selection process will include a thorough review of applications, followed by personal interviews and assessments of shortlisted candidates. Job Description for the said position is provided here,” reads the official statement of BCCI through a media release on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket fans didn’t miss the chance to come up with some hilarious comments as some of the fans also applied for the position of Team India’s head coach.

In the recent line of developments, the media reports have also understood that the BCCI is also approaching the CSK head coach Stephen Fleming for the responsibility of Team India’s head coach after Rahul Dravid’s tenure which is set to end with the conclusion of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considering former New Zealand captain and current Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming as a potential successor to Rahul Dravid. However, with the BCCI’s condition that the new head coach will be in charge for all three formats, it remains to be seen whether Fleming applies for the job which will require him to be with the team for 10 months a year,” reads a report in The Indian Express.
