Buchi Babu Tournament: 5 Big Indian faces to feature in the tournament

The All India Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament will start on August 15, 2024, and conclude on September 11. The tournament is returning after a gap of six years, in which most domestic teams will participate. The tournament will be between 12 teams that are divided into four groups. The tournament will be a practice game for the upcoming domestic matches.

There are four venues for the league stages: Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Salem, and Natham. Meanwhile, the first semifinals of the four-day red-ball format will take place at Tirunelveli, while the second semi-final and the big finale will be played at Natham. Moreover, Madhya Pradesh are the previous year's champions and will take the field to defend their title.

1. Ishan Kishan

After a gap of 6-7 months, Ishan Kishan will finally return to the Cricket field. After taking an indefinite break, Ishan is set to return to cricket and will be playing in the Buchi Babu tournament for Jharkhand. Moreover, he might also get the captaincy position, which would be a huge opportunity for him.

2. Suryakumar Yadav

Next is our India team's T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav. He is an incredible player and has brilliant domestic set-up records. After playing the T20I series against Sri Lanka, SKY is sweating it out for the upcoming tournament for the Mumbai team. Now that the domestic season is about to come, he will be looking forward to practicing hard and playing well in the domestic tournaments. 

3. Sarfaraz Khan

Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan will lead the team in the Buchi Babu tournament. He is one of the best players in the Mumbai team and having him around as a captain will be a positive thing for the entire team. Moreover, if he plays well, he might get a chance to play in the Indian team as well ahead of the Test season.

4. Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar is the captain of the TNCA President's XI. They have released their squad and have several star players, increasing the team's chances of winning the tournament. Shankar himself is a talented all-rounder and has been a part of the Indian team as well. 

5. R Sai Kishore

Playing for the TNCA President's XI, R Sai Kishore is the team's vice-captain and is looking forward to giving his best in the tournament. He is a young bowler with a lot of skills and talent. He takes brilliant wickets whenever the team is in need.
