Ishan Kishan will be playing in the Buchi Babu Tournament for Jharkhand starting on August 15 in Chennai after a long break from Domestic Cricket.

Amid controversies, India's young star Ishan Kishan is set to return to the Cricket field. This time, he's starting with the domestic tournaments before playing any international match, as suggested by BCCI selectors. Hence, Ishan will be playing in the Buchi Babu Tournament for Jharkhand. As per reports, he might be Jharkhand's captain. Nothing is being disclosed now except for his participation in the tournament. 

At the start of 2024, Ishan took an indefinite break from cricket due to mental fatigue. While the selectors were informed of everything, he was asked to join the team after a few series, which he denied. Moreover, he also refused to play in the domestic tournaments going on at that time. Hence, BCCI removed him from the central contract. 

Leaving behind all the controversies, Ishan is ready to play in the upcoming domestic tournament, which will be held in Chennai. According to reports, the Buchi Babu Tournament will start on August 15th. A source said, "Yes, Ishan Kishan is going to play for Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu tournament. It is a prestigious tournament where all top red-ball teams come and play. The conditions are challenging and it’s the right way to prepare yourself for the long domestic grind ahead."

India lost 2nd ODI game against Sri Lanka in Colombo

The Sri Lanka vs India ODI series has been a thriller, considering the results we are getting. While the first ODI game ended in a tie, India lost the 2nd ODI game. It was an unbelievable sight to watch as India were in a winning position, but the middle order collapsed. Sri Lanka's bowling attack was great, as they made no mistakes during the entire match. 

Only two bowlers, Jeffrey Vandersay and Charith Asalanka, dismantled the entire team with their terrific bowling. While Vandersay claimed 6 wickets, Asalanka took three wickets. They were enough for the Indian batting attack to throw away their wickets. Shivam Dube and KL Rahul went for a duck while the other batters scored in double digits.
