Big blow to England as Jos Buttler is set to miss ODI series against West Indies

England's white-ball captain, Jos Buttler, is set to miss the upcoming West Indies tour due to a calf injury. It was an unfortunate incident for the English team, but the Board gave the team's responsibility to Liam Livingstone at this time. Earlier, Harry Brook was the captain in Buttler's absence, but it seems like the Board has some different plans this time. Buttler has been away from cricket for quite a long time now and will be waiting to get back at it soon. 

After the T20 World Cup 2024, he missed quite a few series due to injury. However, the Board has assured that he would directly go to Barbados to play in the 5-match T20I series against West Indies. Since Harry Brook is in Pakistan, playing the Test series, he wasn't considered to be on the ODI team. Brook recently scored a triple century against Pakistan in the 1st Test match and became the second Englishman to do so.

West Indies vs England – Tour Schedule 

England will first travel to West Indies to play a 3-match ODI series, followed by a 5-match T20I series. The ODI series will start on October 31st and will end on November 6. The players will be excited to get back to West Indies, where they played the T20 World Cup in June.
