The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 has started on a great note, with high-octane matches taking place every day. Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W) are doing well in the tournament, winning two out of three games. They are currently in the second position of the tournament. They won the previous game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their own backyard, which was a shocker for the home team.
MI's all-rounder Amelia Kerr has been brilliant with the ball, but this time, she won the hearts off the field with her cute gestures. A video went viral on social media where she was seen taking an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai. Famous OTT actress Mithila Palkar was with her, and she challenged her that getting an auto wouldn't be possible. Palkar even said, 'Itna easy nai hota hai,' with a grin.
The MI star started off on a sweet note by saying 'Bhaiya please' to a driver, however, he didn't stop. After that Amelia lost her patience and shouted in the local language, saying, "Dada! Majhi match aahe (Brother, I have a match… please stop!)." The auto stopped after she spoke in Marathi. Moreover, the fun content was loved by the users as the video went viral within minutes.

Mumbai Indians' win by four wickets in Bengaluru
MI's captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, enjoyed the clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as the team won the game by four wickets. In a contesting game, MI chased down 168 runs in the last ball, making it a successful run-chase. RCB's star batter Ellyse Perry's 81-run knock went in vain as MI clinched victory.
This was the highest successful run-chase against RCB in the WPL. There were chances of the game heading to a super over but G Kamalini scored a boundary on the second-last ball when MI needed just two runs. The charm of WPL has increased with such high-intensity games in the tournament.
