IPL 2025 best XI Photograph: (BCCI)
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has come to a halt due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan along their shared border. The IPL committee has informed the fans that the tournament is suspended for a week, and any information regarding the next stage will be given later. The overseas and domestic players are set to return to their respective countries and states, as per reports.
The tournament was at the final stages, with the playoffs nearing. Most of the teams have played almost 12 matches and were ready for the knockouts. With PBKS and RCB almost qualifying for the playoffs, other teams like MI, LSG, and DC were finding their way back into the playoffs. In this article, we'll discuss the best playing XI in the tournament so far.
Best IPL 2025 playing XI: Sai Sudharsan, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Nicholas Pooran, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya (c), Josh Hazlewood, Prasidh Krishna, Noor Ahmad
Sai Sudarshan, Virat Kohli, and Jos Buttler will form the top order. The players are in terrific form, smashing boundaries and maximums quite frequently. They are also in the top five list of Orange cap holders as well. Sudarshan, Kohli, and Buttler have scored 509, 505, and 500 runs, respectively, in 11 matches. This speaks volumes about their performance in the IPL 2025. They were impactful in the top order and have helped their team win matches as well.
Suryakumar Yadav, Nicholas Pooran, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya (c) are the middle-order batters. Out of these, Parag, Axar, and Pandya are the all-rounders who have shown some fabulous performance with the bat, as well as with the ball. However, Suryakumar and Pooran have wreaked havoc on the opponent bowlers throughout the tournament. While SKY is the leading run-scorer of the IPL 2025 with 510 runs in 12 matches, Pooran is in the ninth position with 410 runs in 11 matches. Meanwhile, the other players have significantly contributed to the team's performance.
Josh Hazlewood, Prasidh Krishna, and Noor Ahmad are the main bowlers who are also the top three in the list of Purple Cap. Currently, Krishna is the leading wicket-taker with 20 wickets in 11 matches, followed by Noor Ahmad, who has also claimed 20 wickets but has played 12 matches. Hazlewood, on the other hand, has played ten matches and taken 18 wickets. They will form the core bowling unit of the best playing XI in IPL 2025.
