The Bengal cricket community is in sorrow after a terrible tragedy that claimed the life of promising young player Asif Hossain, who was just 28 years old. Friends, family, and teammates are struggling to come to terms with the loss of such a gifted athlete after learning of his unexpected death on Monday night. Asif was in good health before the accident, according to accounts from his family. Regretfully, he fell down the steps at his house and suffered a tragic injury. After a swift ambulance ride to a renowned private hospital in the city, medical staff there declared him dead.

Everyone is in shock over this tragedy's suddenness and finds it hard to believe that a young life could end so suddenly. Asif Hossain was a committed player who played for several age levels in the Bengal cricket league. After demonstrating his ability in a Bengal T20 League encounter by hitting an incredible 99 runs, he had hopes of joining the senior Bengal squad. He further indicated his goals in the game when he joined with Sporting Union, a team in the top tier of cricket, earlier this year.

Bengal cricket team had minute of silence before their practice session

Asif Hossain hammered an unbeaten 99 off only 57 balls that helped Adamas Howrah Warriors in their 31-run thrashing of Harbour Diamonds in the Bengal Pro T20 League at Eden Gardens. Asif didn't take risks with his strokes and yet easily cleared the field, reaching his half-century in 37 balls. The left-hander's undefeated run included eight boundaries and five sixes.

The loss of their beloved kid has left his family completely saddened, and his death has had a profound impact. In grief at the loss of a shining light, teammates and fellow cricket players have sent their condolences. To honour Sk Asif Hossain's memory and remember the tremendous talent that cricket has lost, the senior men's squad from Bengal observed a minute's silence at the beginning of their practice session on Tuesday.
