West Indies had set Pakistan a huge target of 254 to win on a pitch that was doing a lot for the spinners. The touring side were bowled out for 163 in their first innings before the bowlers came back well to dismiss the hosts for 154 to earn a lead of nine runs. In the second innings, West Indies were bowled out for 244 runs with Sajid Khan and Noman Ali taking four wickets each.

Chasing 254 to win, Pakistan lost skipper Shan Masood LBW to Kevin Sinclair for two runs. Gudakesh Motie then got rid of Muhammad Hurraira early before Babar Azam and Kamran Ghulam added 43 runs for the third wicket. Jomel Warrican got the big wicket of Ghulam for 19 caught by Amir Jangoo.

Pakistan began the day with their score reading 76/4 still needing 178 runs for a win. Saud Shakeel was out in the third ball of the day as he was caught by Kavem Hodge to give Sinclair his third wicket. Warrican then struck as Kashif Ali was bowled for one run in the second over of the day.

Salman Ali and Mohammad Rizwan combined to add 39 runs for the seventh wicket to raise the hopes of the home fans. Those hopes ended when Warrican sent back both batters in successive overs. Salman Agha was out for 15 while Rizwan was bowled by Warrican for 25 runs.

Noman Ali hit a six but was out to Motie in the next ball as he was caught by Warrican. Sajid Khan was the last wicket to fall after Warrican breached his defense for six runs. The bowler did the John Cena pose and followed it up with Sajid Khan’s thigh slap celebration to end the game and herald a huge win for West Indies.
