Even after 19 years of playing for Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim still has the enthusiasm and zest to give his best every day. In the 1st Test match against Pakistan, Rahim slammed a beautiful century against a full-fledged bowling attack, including Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi. The batter smashed 12 boundaries during his innings and was unbeaten before lunch. 

Thanks to Rahim's century, Bangladesh now trails by just 59 runs with four wickets in hand. They can manage to get to a good total, which puts the hosts under pressure. Considering the kind of month Bangladesh had, this series is extremely important for them. Moreover, winning the game would be the Cherry on the Cake. 

Apart from Rahim, opener Shadman Islam also played a brilliant innings, scoring 93 runs off 183 balls. He is a talented player and is a great asset to the team. Mominul Haque and Litton Das also scored half-centuries, which helped Bangladesh score 394 runs in the first innings. 

Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan smashed centuries against Bangladesh

In the first innings against Bangladesh, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan beautifully welcomed the visitors. Both batters smashed two centuries and attacked the bowlers throughout the innings. While Shakeel scored 141 runs off 261 balls, Rizwan scored 171 runs off 239 balls. Rizwan did have a chance to hit a double century but couldn't as the team declared the innings.

However, during an interview, Shakeel revealed that Rizwan was well aware of the time when the declaration was supposed to happen, and he was fine with the decision. Rizwan's innings were full of resilience and patience just what is needed in a red-ball match.
