Former RCB skipper and the modern-day batting legend, Virat Kohli, is currently in action for his IPL franchise in the ongoing IPL 2025. The batting stalwart is enjoying a sensational run of form throughout the tournament. He is currently the leading run-scorer for RCB in the ongoing 18th edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the legendary Indian music director AR Rahman recently spoke highly of Virat Kohli during a conversation with the official broadcasters of the tournament.
During a conversation at the Tamil segment of the official broadcasters, Rahman also credited Kohli for making his song more viral and like an ‘anthem’ among the fans.
“Recently, Kohli shared a famous song of yours on social media 'Nee Singham Dhan'. How did you feel?” asked the host to AR Rahman.
“Yeah, it felt good. Nee Singham Dhan was initially made as a simple song, but soon it became an anthem. After [Virat] Kohli shared it, I didn't know it would take a life of its own,” replied AR Rahman, mentioning Kohli sharing his song.

RCB and Kohli eye first IPL title
Returning to Virat Kohli, he will be in action for RCB against Punjab Kings in the first qualifier of IPL 2025. The game will be played at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, on Thursday, May 29.
Kohli has scored 602 runs in 13 innings, with a sensational batting average of 60.20, hitting eight half-centuries. He is also the batter with the highest number of half-centuries in the tournament’s current season.
Speaking of RCB, they finished their campaign in the league stage with a 6-wicket win over LSG in the last league match. The Red and Gold finished in second spot on the tournament standings, with nine wins and four defeats, alongside a no-result game in their 14 league matches. Now, being slotted in the first qualifier, they have two chances to qualify for the tournament’s final.
