2. Get to 14 points
This path is slightly trickier. MI can aim for five wins in their remaining matches. NRR is a vital tiebreaker when teams have the same number of points. MI's current NRR isn't ideal, so they need to not only win but win convincingly, with high margins. 3. Capitalize on mid-table misery
This is the least likely scenario, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility. It hinges on the struggles of other mid-table teams like Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Gujarat Titans. If these teams continue to lose most of their remaining matches, it could open the door for MI even with a slightly lower points total. However, MI can't rely on this scenario alone. They need to keep winning and improving their position.
