Glenn Maxwell is among the best batters in the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament and has already played for many franchises. He is a part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise and has been with them since 2021. However, as reported, the franchise will not retain him in the upcoming mega-auction.
If RCB is leaving Maxwell, they'll look for his replacement in terms of batting and bowling. The team will require a good middle-order batter to help them build an inning in the middle overs. Since it's a mega auction, RCB will get plenty of choices.

Let's check out the three players to replace Glenn Maxwell as middle-order batter in RCB:
1. Mitchell Marsh
Australia's Mitchell Marsh is a brilliant all-rounder, just like Maxwell. He has played in the IPL for Delhi Capitals, but it is unlikely that the Capitals will retain him as the star all-rounder often remains injured. So RCB should look to go after Marsh, as he's a medium pacer and knows how to swing his bat in important situations. Getting Marsh in their team will help them secure a good middle-order batter.
2. Aiden Markram
Another brilliant player, Aiden Markram, is a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team. He is also a good pick for the RCB team and can be a handy batter in the middle order. Moreover, Markram is a reliable batter who can help them when the batting line-up collapses.
3. Sam Curran
Sam Curran is RCB's best option since he is young and experienced. He has captained Punjab Kings and can also bowl at a medium pace, which is a huge plus point for the team. He is a clean striker of the ball and knows his way with the bowlers. He is a death-over specialist as well who can give important breakthroughs.
