The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a cash-rich tournament played by many players from different countries. After the successful ending of the seventh season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scheduled the mega auction in December. There will be a meeting with the franchise owners regarding the retention policy. But apart from this, everything else is settled.

Now that the teams can retain four players, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will have a tough time choosing them. They have some awesome players like Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, and many more who deserve to be backed by the team, and choosing just four players is a hectic task. However, as per the rules, they'll have to stick to four retentions.

Let's discuss the four players RCB can retain ahead of IPL 2025:

1. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is one of the most consistent players on the RCB team and has given his best in all seasons. He is the prime bowler and a dependable player. RCB has always backed their best bowler, and he has given them much-needed returns as well. Hence, the franchise will try to retain him in the upcoming mega auction.

2. Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar, the 31-year-old batter, is one of the best batters on the RCB team. He has played some amazing innings, helping RCB win crucial matches. Even though he is not a young batter, he has played better cricket than other young batters. Hence, his retention is given, as RCB looks forward to having a reliable player on the team for the upcoming season.

3. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli, India's one of the best players, has played in RCB for 17 years. Hence, the franchise will definitely look to retain him as he's a match-winner who has played some amazing matches. He is the most run-scorer of the IPL and has several records under his belt. Thus, he is the most deserving player but hasn't won a trophy yet, which is heartbreaking.

4. Will Jacks

Will Jacks

RCB's new addition to the IPL 2024 is Will Jacks, who is a great English player. He hits the shots quite beautifully and has also played well for RCB. The franchise might look to retain him as they had brought him for INR 3.20 crores, which is a reasonable price. Jacks has also played some great knocks for the team which gave them positive results.
