Indiana Pacers defeats Milwaukee Bucks to qualify in the semi-final Obi Toppin scored 21 points, T.J. McConnell added 20 points and nine assists, and the Indiana Pacers won their first playoff series in a decade, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 120-98 in Game 6 on Thursday night.

Indiana Pacers historic win occurred exactly 30 years after it swept Orlando 3-0 to advance to the NBA playoffs for the first time in team history, and it happened on a night when the Bucks were missing Giannis Antetokounmpo. The two-time league MVP did not participate after hurting his left calf on April 9.

After recovering from a right Achilles injury, Damian Lillard performed admirably but was not quite as effective as he had been in the first two games when he scored 69 points. Lillard made 7 of 16 shots for 28 points in the end. For Milwaukee, Bobby Portis Jr. contributed 20 points and 15 rebounds. Khris Middleton contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Brook Lopez scored 20 points as well.

Milwaukee Bucks were unable to continue the momentum

Tyrese Haliburton, a two-time All-Star, led Indiana with 17 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds, while Pascal Siakam contributed 19 points and seven rebounds in the end. In addition to McConnell's four thefts, Toppin and McConnell also had scoring totals that were playoff career highs. 

Indiana finished 8-3 against the Bucks this season, causing Milwaukee to lose in the first round for the second time in a row. Milwaukee Bucks never recovered, as the Pacers stretched their advantage to 104-84 with 8:07 remaining. However, the Milwaukee Bucks were unable to continue the momentum into Game 6.  From there, it was an energetic atmosphere at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with Pacers players being thrilled off the floor to a standing ovation.
